A sixth training course on the Code of Professional Conduct and Work Ethics, organized by the Ministry of Civil Service at the National Institute of Administrative Sciences, was concluded today. The five-day course targeted trainees who represented the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Ministry of Planning and Development, the General Authority for Endowments, the Yemeni Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the Disabled Welfare Fund. In conclusion, Abdullah Haider, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service for the Oversight Sector, explained that this course is being held within the framework of training programs within development projects for the state’s administrative sector, which include specific programs that contribute to raising institutional performance in accordance with the directives of the state’s leadership and the national vision. The draft code was considered one of those national projects that contribute to this aspect through the values and ethics it contains, which constitute an important factor in enhancing and controlling the employee’s behavior and specifying his duties and responsibilities towards his subordinates, colleagues, and the citizen who benefits from the service. He noted the role of the trainees, who will represent the training teams of their institutions in bringing about a positive change in behavior to serve society and citizens through field implementation that will include all public service units. He appreciated the efforts of the leadership of the Institute of Administrative Sciences and its training cadres in supervising the qualitative training and qualification process for leaders and employees of the state’s administrative apparatus and providing it with distinguished scientific and professional competencies that would advance institutional work and achieve administrative development goals. For his part, the Dean of the National Institute of Administrative Sciences, Dr. Muhammad Al-Qatabri, praised the interaction of the trainees and their keenness to benefit from its outcomes and understand the contents of its program, stressing that their true role lies in what they achieve in the field in various entities. The draft code and the service development guide were considered interconnected, given that an employee who possesses spiritual and faith-based values and ethics will reflect positively on his performance of his work and his distinguished service to the citizen. Dr. Al-Qatabri called on the heads of agencies to cooperate with the development and blog teams and provide the necessary support and facilities to complete their tasks and make them successful. While the trainee Abdul Jalil Al-Marouni appreciated in the participants’ speech all the efforts that contributed to the success of the course, which had an impact in providing them with theoretical and applied knowledge and skills about everything related to the code of professional conduct and work ethics. The conclusion included the presence of the Directors of Human Resources Development, Training and Qualification at the Ministry of Civil Service, Abdul Raqeeb Al-Bahri and Muhammad Al-Almani, and the Deputy Dean of the Institute of Administrative Sciences for Training Affairs, Nawal Al-Haddad, honoring the trainees with certificates and honoring Undersecretary Haider by the Institute’s leadership.
